Will you answer the calling?
THIS SITE IS ABOUT GOD'S EMPOWERMENT TO HIS PEOPLE THAT THEY BE AS ONE IN UNITY AND IN SPIRIT. ( Joel 2:28 Mark 16 :17 )
Dear friends,
On behalf of all our worldwide members I would like to welcome you to the New Prophecy Movement.
This site is open to all Christians with the view that the gift of speaking in tongues is relevant in today's modern Church.
Paul said. "Forbid not the speaking in tongues"
Why are we here?
According to one survey from an estimated 290 million Pentecostal and Charismatic churches, one third don't practice what Paul teaches - although few are willing to admit that. These frightening statistics reveal that the very essential hallmarks of Pentecostalism - Mark 16:17-18 have slowly eroded away leaving many to question:
"were has the public acknowledgement of Pentecostalism gone?"
It seems apparent that the neglect of spiritual gifts has made today's Church a lifeless institutionalized establishment.
So what is to be done?
Through this ministry it is hoped, that true believers will encourage church leaders to include more frequently the prophetic gifts in worship services- and to pray for those who are seeking this wonderful heavenly language.
Christians that walk in the Spirit are united as ONE.
Christians need to be aware that in these last days Christ's church needs a solid 'spiritual' foundation in warding off Satan's many devises. There can be no excuse for complacency. Christ expects a healthy vibrant Church where His chosen people are one in mind body and Spirit prior to His return.
This means that followers of Christ need to be in tune with the workings of the Holy Spirit if they are to maintain God's free gift of salvation.
My story begins in 1955 when at the age of five I was visited by an angel whose presents inspired me to tell my story.
It was during that time my mother taught me the ways of the Lord resulting in my being baptised at the age of twelve.
But it wasn't until my late teens when studying at the UPC Bible School that I obtained a position as youth Pastor in a Pentecostal church on the NSW central Coast.
Prior to ordination, my first professional gig was on 3DB radio Melbourne singing gospel alongside Col Joye, and duo Laurie Allan, and Bobby Bright.
Just as my radio career was starting to kick off, God called me into Billy Graham’s “Youth for Christ” and the Australasian Christian Broadcasting Association. It was there that I met up with a ventriloquist character named Elfie who became my side kick when performing on TV and in Church rallies.
Apart from singing gospel, electronics is my main interest ~from which I managed to invent a Music Machine for use as an educational tool in schools. This machine later became known as "Marshall's Portable Music Machine" ~named after Brian Cadd's 1972 hit song.
While performing at a Shopping Centre, a talent scout signed me up to be co-host of a children's morning show called the "Super Flying Fun Show."
This opened up my career to the NSW club scene and TV engagements such as; A Current Affair with Mike Willesee, The Graham Kennedy Show, and the Mike Walsh Today Show. I even had a gig with singer actress Eartha Kitt with Tommy Tycho's band at the Sydney Opera House and a slot with Rolf Harris at Westfield's Carnival Capers.
When the Music Machine had its day I substituted it with an animatronic Robot named Algatron. This real to life cheeky character made from house-hold items, was a hit in schools under the Science and Technology curriculum.
Interestingly enough, Algatron came to fame when as a mascot for the 1994 Canberra Science Festival, spilled water over science minister Peter McGauran's shiny new shoes in full view of a nationwide TV audience at Parliaments Grand Hall.
But now as I reminisce about those days I can see God's hand of destiny in the arts of music, theatre, and science ~ all of which necessitates critical thinking in my new love for religious apologetics.
Today I no longer perform in schools, but in Christian work-shops singing gospel and promoting my books. I have no particular religion, preferring neutrality when pasturing the New Prophecy Movement and its accompanying home gatherings.
In finishing I would like to acknowledge God as the author of my writings and my mother, know resting in the arms of Jesus, as my inspiration.
Proverbs 22:6 tells us: “Train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray” (NRSV).

Tongues on Fire is a must-read for those who want to experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the gift of speaking in tongues.
Authored by Pastor Leslie Barnett who writes from experience having been involved in the 1970s “New Prophecy Movement.”
Pastor Barnett’s story begins with 18th century evangelist John Wesley, who paid heed to visions and supernatural encounters that occurred in the lives of Methodists of his day. Throughout his life he gathered stories of how God was revealing Himself in the lives of His people, and gave much thought to their meaning.
The author explains; that in the 1970's when the Holy Spirit was being poured out with the speaking of tongues families were reunited, long-severed friendships reconciled and hearts flowed together in true fellowship in the Lord.
However in spite of overwhelming evidence of the resurgence of the new prophecy movement, Cessationists believe that in comparison to the apostolic age, today's tongues is just devilish mumbo jumbo.
A claim they say is backed up by the exclusion of the long conclusion of Mark chapter sixteen in the Codex Sinaiticus.
Leslie Barnett a performing arts educator with autism, tells of the many difficulties he faced when searching for a spiritual home.
"Many of the churches I attended had their own unique way of interpreting the bible~ which only added to my anxiety and frustration when searching gospel truths "~ says Leslie.
The author explains; that 'Asperger Syndrome' or 'Autistic Spectrum Disorder' effects 1-150 people including many practising Christians who are coined aspies.
Mr Barnett says; that aspies are often unable to pick up social cues around them. They may fail to laugh or cry at a discourse when struggling to understand humour , and often take biblical parables literally. Some aspies may make comments inappropriate for the situation, or they may continue a conversation past a socially acceptable point, unaware of social 'cues' given by those disinterested in their bible commentaries.
To this point aspies can become very loud in making their point clear. But this is not done out of disrespect but out of frustration.
“There is much more to be said about this syndrome but as for me, attributes like sincerity, justice, creativity and imagination are not disabilities but essential tools to help challenge and communicate ideas”~says Leslie.
Mr Barnett explains; that many aspies genetic traits stem from scientific backgrounds ~as was the case with his great great great grandfather Edward Roberts whose autism earned him the Imperial service order ( I.S.O ) in 1907 for his invention of the tide predicting machine.
"I believe that I was foreordained into the Roberts lineage for purposes of inventing electronic devices to educate students in the arts of Mathematics, Science and Technology~all of which gave me the skills in research and scientific evaluation when writing apologetics. -says Leslie.
The author goes on to say that one of the traits of autism is a strong desire for justice, which explains why he had been shunned many times for questioning the pulpit when comparing today's doctrine to commentaries from early church fathers.
" It seems to me that today's institutionalised church have lost the Wesleyan Holy Spirit manifestations of visions and supernatural experiences. But more-so the art of uniting families and long-severed friendships in true fellowship in the Lord"- says Leslie.
Of special interest is chapter five and six when dealing with empathy and anxiety and chapter seven when trying to make sense out of the Pentecostal movement including the speaking in tongues.
Last but not least is chapter twelve which is dedicated to the " Mysterious Messengers" - the angels of God, who have played a vital role in producing this work.
"The Apostle" is a must-read for those who are curious to know the driving force behind Scott Morrison's Pentecostal faith and the Church which he and his family attend.
Born 13/05/58 Scott Morrison was raised an Anglican who later became a Pentecostal and now attends the Horizon Church which is affiliated with the (ACC ) Australian branch of the (AoG) Assemblies of God.
Leslie says that Morrison has shown the Australian public strong leadership, not only when advocating for religious freedom but when handling the Coronavirus epidemic.
But lurking over Morrison's Christian ethics lies a dark cloud of suspicion when refusing to answer questions over his invite to Brian Houston's accompaniment to a White House function; and how when pressured by the Labor opposition and 2GB talk back radio confirmed the once deemed rumour to be true.
The picture sign does pose the question: "why a hall and not a Church?"
According to the Jehovah’s Witnesses the Kingdom Hall is the true temple when worshiping Jehovah God compared to a normal Church who worship demons. (W.T May 2018" Know Your Enemy" page 24)
These religious supremacists have adopted Charles Russell’s heresy when teaching that the Lord Jesus Christ is Jehovah's first born Son -Michael the Archangel.
Although claiming to be liberated from past mistakes, the JW’s still hold to many occult practices including denouncing once cherished family members who don’t tow the party line.
Laodicean Heretic addresses the JW’s formation beginning with Constantine’s dynasty down to the Adventist movement by Seventh Day Adventist Ellen White.

The author explains; that the Australian Christian churches (ACC) when merging Assemblies of God (AoG) with the New Apostolic Reform movement brought with them prophets who prophecy without need for tongues interpretation. Worse, the "speaking in tongues" is no longer exercised in main worship services but relegated to the back room ~leaving many classical Pentecostals to question: "where has the public acknowledgment of Mark 16:17 gone?"
To sum it up the problem Leslie had this to say: •
" The very soul of Christ's church, embodied in prophetic utterances, discernment, worship, healing, deliverance and hospitality has slowly diminished leaving a lifeless institutionalised religion with highly paid men. ( 2 Timothy 3:1-3)
Of special interest is Chapter fourteen which explains why "Home Church" is becoming popular. And Chapter seventeen speaks about the importance of tongues discernment when addressing the "Demonic Realm" ~as exampled by Brett Peter Cowen and Frank Houston.
Last but not leased is chapter thirty three which is dedicated to “the Mysterious Messengers”- the angels of God, who have played a vital role producing this work.
Laodicean Heretic
A comprehensive study of Archangel Michael, who in 325 AD, became patron Saint to the first Christian Church in Constantinople. Saint Michael's godlike status was established when Constantine denounced Judaism's prohibition against appealing to angels as intermediaries. This allowed Christian Jews to venerate Saint Michael as healer, protector, and redeemer of their souls from Limbo to Heaven.
Centuries would pass until Sabbatarian Ellen White used Michael's descriptor "Who is God" to formulate a dogma proclaiming Saint Michael as the Lord Jesus Christ. Today this dogma has become an integral part of the Seventh Day Adventist and the Jehovah Witness eschatology.

The author says; according to the Labor party, Morrison's association with Brian Houston is simply a vote winner in spite of the 2014 royal commission into child sexual abuse whereby Brain's indictment for harboring his fathers pedophilia is still pending. This indictment says Brain's critics, will never succeed due to his standing as one of the world’s most powerful pastors to a multi million dollar tax free Hillsong empire; which pulls 100,000 people around the world into Mega-churches each weekend with shows of glitz and glamour.
Politics aside, Pastor Leslie's book talks about his experience having been involved in the 1970's with the AoG Assembles of God and in the 1990's with the Australian Christian Churches.
Leslie explains, that in the 1970's families were reunited, long-severed friendships reconciled and hearts flowed together in true fellowship in the Lord. And even more than that, along with the spirit of unity and love came the spirit of sacrifice and the wondrous spirit of liberty. But today's modern Church tongues is rarely heard, not even from Scott Morrison who like his mentor Brian Houston, believes it to be unnecessary leaving classical Pentecostals to question: "where has the public awareness of the Spirit gone?"
Pastor Barnett explains: that when Frank and Brian Houston merged the New Apostolic Reform movement with the Assemblies of God it brought with it apostles, and prophets who substituted tongues interpretation for a prophetic "Word of knowledge."
To sum up the problem Leslie had this to say:
" Today's Pentecostalism is not about tongues prayer, study, or evangelising but hipster jeans, designer trainers, Brooklyn beards, and sleeve tattoos. And places of worship are no longer the traditional style Church but multi million dollar 1000 seat auditoriums with latte coffee machines, concert lighting, and smoking machines. . Worse, Pentecostal music is not your traditional style worship songs but more on the lines of Justin Bieber love songs."
Of special interest is chapter 17 and 21 whereby Pastor Barnett provides a spiritual explanation of how Brett Peter Cowen and Frank Houston's demonic Spirit went undetected. And in Chapter twenty five when a couple of Christians survived 9/11 by obeying God rather than man.
Last but not least is chapter thirty three which is dedicated to “the Mysterious Messengers”- the angels of God, who have played a vital role in producing this work.
Pastor Barnett alias Marshall is interviewed by TV host Shorn Sheep about his robot Algatron
W. T. Dixon, early Quaker missionary who became an Alliance pastor.
